The largest Air Show in the North West is an annual event on Southport Beach. Each year the event attracts over 100,000 visitors to this seaside town. Southport is unusual because the beach is so deep there are displays over the sand, whereas at other seaside shows aircraft would always be over water. Southport has some light aircraft landing on the beach before the main displays, whereas at other seaside shows all displays would fly in and out. Expect military, historical, civilian and stunt aircraft in the air, and plenty of entertainment and attractions on the ground including flight simulators, static aircraft, wall climbing and assault courses resulting in this being an event for the entire family.
Did you know you can hardly see the sea at Southport? The amount of times the tide comes all the way in is sparse. Good news for the Air Show!
